FMCSA's Emergency Action Required Notice

Have you recently received a letter from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) stating that "Immediate Action" is required because your delegation process agent is no longer valid?

Your operation has done nothing wrong. The blanket agent that was designated with the agency is no longer providing the service. However, the FMCSA has granted a very short window for you to designate a replacement. By not doing so, your operation is subject to civil penalties and the suspension of your registration.

All property and passenger for-hire carriers are required to make a designation for each state they operate in and through. The process agent receives notices of any action against the carrier in the state on behalf of the carrier. The process agent functions as a conduit between the legal system and the entity.

While the window to re-designate process agents is small, J. J. Keller can help.
